RURAL MUNICIPALITY OF MISCOUCHE
Special Meeting with Stephen Yeo
March 29th, 2019

1. OPENING MEETING
Mayor Albert Gallant called the meeting to order at 1:00 P.M.

Present:
Albert Gallant – Mayor
Allan Parks – Deputy Mayor
Jacqueline Lecky- Councillor (Absent)
Pat MacLellan – Councillor( Absent)
John Searle- Councillor
Ivan Blanchard- Councillor( Absent)
Joan Arsenault – Councillor
Michelle Perry- Administrator

Council met with Stephen Yeo in regards to the intersection of Main Dr and Lady Slipper Dr. There has been some concerns about the safety at that corner, and since Highways had put up a no right turn on a red light sign, the issue has not been resolved. Council is asking to have the Island put back at the Store to deter traffic from cutting in-front of traffic on Lady Slipper Dr N to access the store. Stephen said that he will have some plans drawn up and then bring them back to council and he will then talk to the business owner. Council said this is becoming a safety issue that they want to address it before someone gets hurt. Stephen said that they should have this in place by July 1st, 2019. He also stated that they are going to pave the road from Wilfred St to the Corner and also a stretch at Carrs Corner.
