Special Council Meeting
July 27th, 20161. OPENING MEETING

Chairperson Peter Mallett called the meeting to order at 6:30 P.M.

The Great Benjamin Circus has contacted Robert Gallant and Peter Mallett about having their circus in Miscouche for 3 days. August 18,19 and 20. They need a space for a tent 100′ x130′. They clean up after themselves, and they have porta potties. All they require is water.
There is two ways that you can do it rent the land by the day or take half the ticket sales. Tickets sell for $22 for adults and children are free. They are looking at the lot by the Country Oven so that there will be parking facilities.
All the equipment is certified by the department of NS and they have 5 million dollars in insurance. They are also going to going to Alberton and O’Leary. They do not have any animals besides dogs. They have jugglers, trapezes artists, extortionist, dragon breathers and more.
They need to know in the next few days as they do all their own advertising for the events.
Council discussed this and they decided to go ahead with it but they will charge $750.00 plus HST.
Peter will check with the department of Highways to see if there is an issue with the traffic being close to the highway.

Also a letter will be sent to a resident about the extension that he put on the back Garage that was not part of the original plan. We will have him come in to fill out a new building permit.
