Council has invited Morley Foye from the Approvals & Compliance Engineer from the government to discuss the future of the West Lagoon.

Morley stated that the West Lagoon in on the radar with the Federal Government as the water testing is not up to standards and is just barely getting by, and now is a good time to do something as there is a possibility of government funding coming out in the near future that will definitely help with the project. There has not been any upgrades to the West Lagoon since it was built.

The lagoon needs to be fenced in as well, his suggestion was to hire an engineer to get a study done on it to see what the options are.

Morley also stated that there will need to be some upgrades done on the East Lagoon as well. There should be an alarming system in place so that if something happens this would go directly to the operator. And Preston can be on top of this before any real trouble starts. Also there should be a phase protector at the lift station as well as a generator. Also the sludge should be investigated in the East Lagoon as well.

Council thanked Morley for coming out as this was a very informative meeting.
